PowerSchool and Communications
Our district uses PowerSchool to keep track of student information and progress. Account setup information was sent home when you registered your child for school or were sent home with your child last year when report cards were posted. If you need help getting that information, please reach out to Mrs. Russel our school secretary at mrussell1@groton.k12.ct.us. Parents can log in to update their contact information at anytime! The Communications Apps that are used by our district uses the information in PowerSchool. If you change your email or phone number, please log in to PowerSchool and update your information as soon as possible! You may also send a note to school with your updated information and Mrs. Russel can update the information in PowerSchool for you! At the elementary level, we also use PowerSchool to send home the report cards at the end of each trimester!
SchoolMessenger is our school district's primary app for contacting parents and guardians with information specific to their child's class, grade, building, or the whole district! SchoolMessenger utilizes the information in PowerSchool to send automated phone calls, texts, or emails! If you would like to change your preferences for how you are contacted (phone call, text, or email), please visit our SchoolMessenger Information page! To update your contact information, please log in to PowerSchool!
Our school uses ParentSquare as an additional communications tool! It can be used through a computer or downloaded as an app to your device! ParentSquare is used for school wide announcements, classroom communications, signing up for conferences, signing up to volunteer, completing paperwork, and more!
